this is my favorite recipe to make around the thanksgiving and christmas holidays.

Ingredients For pecan pie bars/cake

1 boxyellow cake mix

1/2 cbutter, cold
-
1egg
-
1/2 cbrown sugar, firmly packed
-
1 1/2 clight corn syrup
-
1 tspvanilla extract
-
1 cpecans(chopped)

3eggs
How To Make pecan pie bars/cake

1Grease 9 x 13 pan generously. set aside 2/3 cup of dry cake mix. in a lg. bowl mix butter(cold), 1 egg and remaining cake mix until crumbly. press into pan and bake at 350 for 15 to 20 min. in a large bowl, mix the rest of the ingredients and beat on med. speed for 1 to 2 minutes. take crust out of oven and pur mixture over crust then put back in oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes longer or until filling is set. let it cool and cut into bars.
