Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter, at room temperature
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 11/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 - pears, sliced
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
- CINNAMON SUGAR
- 11/2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
How To Make pear cinnamon-sugar cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 400. Grease and flour 9" round cake pan.

Step 2Beat butter and brown sugar until creamy.

Step 3Add vanilla and egg and mix until combined.

Step 4In separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon.

Step 5Add to the mixer, alternating with buttermilk.

Step 6Fold in half of the pecans.

Step 7Spread batter in pan. Arrange pear slices on top. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and remaining pecans.

Step 8Bake for 20 -25 minutes until edges are golden and center comes out with moist crumbs.

Step 9Serve warm, if desired.
