i made this once for a family get together & my older brother asked "where's the jelly". Every one laughed & they all enjoyed it. Sorry I don't have a pic, but I'm working on getting pics for all my recipes...

Ingredients

  • 2
    eggs, separated
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2 1/4 c
    cake flour
  • 3 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/3 c
    peanut butter, crunchy
  • 1/3 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1 1/4 c
    milk

How to Make Peanut Butter Layer Cake...

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oven to 350F. Lightly grease & flour 2 round 8 inch pans.
  2. beat egg whites until frothy, gradually beat in the white sugar till stiff & glossy.
  3. In medium bowl sift together the next 4 ingredients. Add in the brown sugar, oil & 1/2 of the milk.
  4. Beat for 1 min on medium speed & make sure to scrape the bowl constantly.
  5. Add in the remaining milk & egg yolks to the mixture & beat for 1 more min. Again make sure to scrape the bowl.
  6. Then mix in the peanut butter. Fold in the egg whites, pour into baking pans & bake for 35 to 40 mins. Cool well & frost as you wish...
