This is a wonderful snack cake from Taste of Home that we've enjoyed for years. It's a sweet treat that packs nicely into lunches and sells quickly at bake sales.

Ingredients

  • 1 - yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 - eggs
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2-3/4 cup chocolate chips, divided
  • 1/2-3/4 cup peanut butter chips, divided
  • 1/2 cup peanuts, salted and without skins

How To Make peanut butter crunch cake

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13x9 baking dish. In a mixing bowl beat cake mix, peanut butter and brown sugar on low until crumbly; set aside 1/2 cup. Add water, eggs and oil to mixing bowl and blend on low until moistened; beat on high 2 minutes. Stir in 1/4 cup each of the chips.
  • Step 2
    Pour into the greased baking dish. Combine the peanuts, reserved crumb mixture and remaining chips; sprinkle over the batter. Bake at 350 degrees 40-45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
