Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2/3 cup baking cocoa
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup brewed coffee, room temp
  • FROSTING:
  • 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 cups confectioners sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

How To Make peanut butter chocolate cake

  • Step 1
    In a mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients.
  • Step 2
    Add the eggs, milk, oil and vanilla; beat for 2 minutes. Stir in coffee (batter will be thin).
  • Step 3
    Pour into a greased 13"x9"x2" baking pan. Bake at 350* for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool completely on a wire rack.
  • Step 4
    For frosting, in a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and peanut butter until smooth. Beat in the sugar, milk, and vanilla. Spread over cake. Sprinkle with chocolate chips if desired. Store in refrigerator.
