  • 2 cups creamy peanut butter, divided
  • 6 tablespoons cinnamon cane sugar, divided
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter chips
  • 1 box devils food cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 packet hot cocoa mix
  • 1 tube frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 3/4 cup chilled chocolate milk
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • 2 king-size Snickers bars, sliced

How To Make peanut butter banana bottom chocolate layer cake

  • Step 1
Place peeled bananas in a medium bowl mashed evenly with a fork. Add 1 cup peanut butter, 2 tablespoons cinnamon cane sugar, and peanut butter chips; mix well for 2 minutes until combined.
  • Step 2
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat two 8' round cake pans with cooking spray. Spoon banana/peanut butter mixture between both cake pans and spread evenly.
  • Step 3
In a large bowl, combine cake mix, water, vegetable oil, eggs, hot cocoa mix, and 2 tablespoons cinnamon cane sugar; beat on medium speed for 3 minutes until blended.
  • Step 4
Pour slowly onto the banana/peanut butter mixture in the cake pans and spread evenly. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool for 15 minutes.
  • Step 5
In another medium bowl, combine whipped topping, chocolate milk, cream cheese, chocolate syrup, and 2 tablespoons cinnamon cane sugar; mix well until blended. Set aside.
  • Step 6
Place one cake layer (upside down) on a serving plate. Spread the remaining peanut butter onto the bottom side and spread evenly. Add sliced Snickers bars over the top.
  • Step 7
Place the second cake layer on top and spread the frosting on the top and sides of the cake. Sprinkle the top of the cake with the remaining cinnamon cane sugar.
  • Step 8
Refrigerate for 3 hours before serving.
