Ingredients
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 - eggs
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 2/3 cups flour
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon almond flavoring
- PEACH MIXTURE
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups sliced peaches
How To Make peach upside down cake

Step 1Beat together shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add remaining ingredients and beat well, Pour over peach mixture.

Step 2Place butter in a 9 by 13 inch baking pan and let butter melt in oven. Sprinkle brown sugar over butter. Add peaches cover with cake batter.

Step 3Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Turn out of pan upside down with peaches facing up.

Step 4Serve hot or cold with whipped topping or vanilla ice cream.
