  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 can sliced peaches,(drained)
  • - cinnamon & sugar (opt.)

How To Make peach coffee cake

  • Step 1
    MIX DRY INGREDIENTS AND SIFT.
  • Step 2
    CREAM TOGETHER SHORTENING AND SUGAR.ADD EGGS AND VANILLA.
  • Step 3
    ADD DRY INGREDIENTS.
  • Step 4
    PUT 2/3 OF BATTER IN A GREASED 8X8 INCH OR 9-INCH ROUND PAN AND LAY PEACHES ON TOP.SPREAD REST OF THE BATTER OVER THE PEACHES. SPRINKLE WITH CINNAMON AND SUGAR MIXED

    BAKE AT 350* FOR 50 MIN.

    OTHER FRUIT MAY BE USED INSTEAD OF PEACHES!
