This sounds like a strange mixture, but it is so good. If you like PB&J sandwiches, you will love this. It is fairly simple to make and perfect for parties.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

If you love peanut butter and jelly, this PB&J cheesecake is for you. Crescent dough on the bottom and top holds a rich and creamy peanut butter layer. There's a thin layer of strawberry preserves to give that classic PB&J feel. The top is buttery with a cinnamon sugar crust. Sprinkling peanuts over the top adds a nice crunch and pushes home the peanut butter flavor. This is a dessert your whole family will enjoy.

  • 1 cup strawberry preserves
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup peanuts, crushed (optional)

How To Make pb&j cheesecake

  • Whip peanut butter until fluffy.
    Step 1
Whip 1 cup of peanut butter until it is smooth, creamy, and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  • Add cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract.
    Step 2
Add softened cream cheese, 1 cup granulated sugar, and 1 Tbsp vanilla extract. Beat until smooth. Set aside.
  • Place crescent dough into a greased 9x13 baking dish.
    Step 3
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Unroll 1 can of crescent rolls in a greased 9x13 casserole dish. Using gentle pressure, spread out the dough so it covers the bottom and about 1/2" around the sides. Pinch seams together with your fingers until all pieces are sealed. Set aside.
  • Spread cream cheese mixture over the crescent dough.
    Step 4
Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent rolls in the casserole dish, leaving about 1/4" around the edges.
  • Spread the strawberry preserves.
    Step 5
In a small bowl, mix strawberry preserves with a fork to break up any large pieces. Spread preserves over the cream cheese mixture.
  • Unroll the second piece of crescent dough and press on top.
    Step 6
Unroll and spread out the second can of crescent rolls over the top of the strawberry preserves. Gently tuck edges down along the sides of the dish. Set aside.
  • Mix vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sugar into melted butter.
    Step 7
Melt a stick of butter. Whisk in the 1 Tbsp vanilla extract, cinnamon, and the 1 cup sugar.
  • Spread the mixture over the crescent dough.
    Step 8
Spread the sugar mixture over the top of the crescent roll.
  • Bake for 50 - 60 minutes.
    Step 9
Bake in a 350-degree oven for 50-60 minutes until the top is brown and bubbly.
  • Sprinkle nuts on top during the last 10 minutes of baking.
    Step 10
If using crushed peanuts, remove during the last 10 minutes of baking and sprinkle nuts over the top. Let cool for 20 minutes. Then cover with foil and refrigerate for 4-6 hours before serving.
