This recipe comes from a 1968 recipe book titled,"Favorite Recipes From Church of GOD Ladies". Each of the recipes has the ladies' name and home town and I will include this with the recipe and if you know or are related to this person, I would really like to know. The recipes I post from this cookbook are ones I have tried and really like or are unusual due to ingredients or possibly due to the number of recipes with the same name but are different in some way. I hope you enjoy. I know some the recipes are really lacking in some or all areas, but I am posting them as they are in the cookbook

Ingredients
- CAKE:
- 3 cups sifted flour
- 6 tablespoons cocoa
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups sugar
- 12 tablespoons mazola oil
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- CAKE TOPPING:
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- dash of salt
- 1 cup water
- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
How To Make pan handy cake

Step 1CAKE: Mix first 5 ingredients in mixing bowl;

Step 2Add remaining ingredients.

Step 3Pour 2 cups cold water over all and stir until well blended.

Step 4Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.

Step 5CAKE TOPPING: Mix sugar, cornstarch, cocoa, salt and water together.

Step 6Cook until thickened.

Step 7Remove from heat; add butter and vanilla. Mix well.

Step 8Spread hot topping on hot cake.
