My Mother-in-Law used to make this and everyone loved it.It is really moist and yummy!

Ingredients

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup shortening
2 - eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon
4 cups raw apples,diced
1 cup raisins
1 cup nut meats

How To Make ozark cake

Step 1

Beat sugar and shortening,well.Add eggs.Beat again.

Step 2

Combine dry ingredients.Add to sugar mixture.Beat well.
Step 3

Add apples,nuts and raisins.Beat with mixer if desired.
Step 4

Bake 70 minutes at 350 degrees.Add mixed fruit if desired.
