1 cbutter, melted
1 1/2 tspsalt
1 Tbspbaking powder
2 Tbsporange zest
1/3 corange juice
1 tsporange extract
1 1/2 cconfectioners' sugar
1 tsporange zest
1/2 tsporange extract
2 1/2 Tbsporange juice
How to Make ~ Orange Butter Pound Cake Bars & Orange Glaze ~
- Preheat oven to 375 degree F.
Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with non stick cooking spray that contains flour. ( Bakers joy )
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
Melt butter and place into a large mixing bowl, to this add sugar and stir well. Next beat in eggs one at a time and beat well after each addition.
Add the flour mixture, beating until well combined.
Stir in orange zest, juice and extract. Once well combined, spread into prepared pan and bake for 35 - 40 minutes or until pick inserted comes out clean.
- Whisk glaze ingredients, until smooth. If needs more juice, add to desired consistency.
Once cake is baked, remove from over to cooling rack. Poke tiny holes with fork all over cake. After about 5 minutes, drizzle cake with half of the glaze, so can soak into the cake. Then when cakes cooled another 10 minutes, drizzle with remaining glaze.
