Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 3 cups sifted flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
- LEMON SYRUP
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
- 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar, sifted
How To Make orange butter cake with lemon syrup

Step 1Cream butter and sugar; beat in eggs, one at a time.

Step 2Sift dry ingredients together; add alternately with remaining ingredients.

Step 3DO NOT POUR ORANGE JUICE AND MILK INTO THE SAME CUP!

Step 4Pour batter into baking pan. Bake at 350° for about 35 minutes. Cool in pan for 5 minutes before removing from pan.

Step 5Mix together lemon peel, orange peel, lemon juice, and orange juice. Blend in confectioners' sugar.

Step 6Drizzle over orange butter cake.
