If you're a fan of poppyseed fillings or taste, this is an easy and delicious cake that serves many and keeps and freezes well. My Czech background makes poppyseed mandatory.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 - eggs
  • 1-1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • l lg. can evaporated milk
  • 1 can solo ground poppyseed filling
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

How To Make ooo la la poppyseed cake

  • Step 1
    Beat sugar, eggs (one at a time) and salad oil in large bowl, add evaporated milk and vanilla. Gradually incorporate the poppyseed filling.
  • Step 2
    Mix flour and baking soda and gradually add to wet ingredients. Mix thorougly.
  • Step 3
    Pour into greased tube or bundt pan. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for one hour. Cool upside down if possible. Loosen edges w/knife if needed. Sprinkle with powdered sugar when cool. Serve and wait for the comments to start flowing.
