Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    melted butter
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 2 large
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 4 medium
    granny smith apples,peeled and sliced
  • 1 c
    chopped walnuts or pecans

How to Make One Of My Familys Favorites Chunky Apple Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. stir together first 4 ingredients in a large bowl until blended.
  2. combine flour and next 3 ingredients; add to buttermixture,stirring until blended.
  3. stir in apple slices and one cup of chopped nuts.
  4. spread into a well greased or spray with pam 13x9 inch pan.
  5. bake at 350* for 45 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  6. cool completely in pan on a wire rack.
  7. spread with cream cheese frosting; sprinkle with nuts.
