one-egg cake
This recipe was my grandmothers,my mother made this one-egg cake when we were little. This cake was made only when one of her (11)children had a birthday. It made us feel special, being just like all the other kids. I make this cake, because its easy and quick to make. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 2 cups cake flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons butter or other shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 - egg unbeaten
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- - cake frosting, any flavor is great with this cake i like white frosting with coconut
How To Make one-egg cake

Step 1Add flour,baking powder, and salt mix together in bowl. In another bowl mix together butter,add sugar, gradually cream together until blended and light.Add egg and mix.

Step 2Now add flour small amounts at a time with milk into creamy mixture once blended add vanilla.

Step 3Bake in two greased 8-inch layer pans,in moderate oven (375`F.)25 minutes,or until done
