This recipe was passed down to me from my mother in-law who got it from her mother in-law. Tried and true, this cake is the HIT of EVERY gathering!
Ingredients For old time lemon cake
1 boxlemon cake mix
1 boxlemon instant pudding
3/4 cveg oil
4 cpowdered sugar
2/3 corange juice
2 Tbspveg oil
How To Make old time lemon cake
1Preheat oven to 350* Blend cake mix and pudding together in a large bowl. Add oil and water; mix well with electric mixer. Add eggs two at a time mixing until batter is smooth. Pour into a greased and floured cake pan, bunt pan or large loaf pan. Bake for 40 – 45 minutes. Test cake with a toothpick. Cool for 5 minutes. Mix Glaze together. Poke holes in top of cake with a fork and pull cake to loosen from sides of pan. Pour glaze over warm cake, making sure glaze gets down the sides of cake. Finish cooling for 20 minutes. Serve with a fresh lemon wedge and mint sprig.
