Ingredients

  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 3 Tbsp
    melted margarine or butter
  • 1 c
    sour milk
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 3/4-1 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 3 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • ·
    lard for deep frying donuts in

How to Make Old Fashion Home Made Donuts

Step-by-Step

  1. mix together
  2. cover with lid or tin foil over night
  3. melt lard until it's hot
  4. roll dough into 1/2 inch thick, cut with donut cutter, fry a few at a time, ashort time on each side, place on cooling wrap, let drip, great for freezing or coat with cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar or just plain.
