  • 1 3/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground cloves
  • 1 c
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 large
  • 1 c
    vegetable or canola oil
  • 2 small
    jars or containers of strained prunes or prunes with apples
  • 1/2 c
    chopped walnuts

How to Make Oh Baby It's Good... Spice Cake


  1. Mix together in bowl:
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1/4 t. ground cloves
    1 c. sugar
    1 t. cinnamon
    1/2 t. baking powder
    1 t. baking soda
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    1 c. vegetable or canola oil
    2 small jars strained prunes or 2 small containers of prunes with apples (plums may be substituted)
  2. Mix thoroughly and bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes in greased and floured 9x9" pan or spray pan with 'Bakers' Joy'.
  3. For topping, use whipping cream, powdered sugar or cream cheese frosting.
