Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups boiling water
- 1 cup uncooked oatmeal
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine (softened)
- 3 large eggs
- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking cocoa
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 package chocolate chips 12 oz. (divided)
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
How To Make oatmeal chocolate chip cake

Step 1In a mixing bowl, pour boiling water over oats. Allow to stand for 10 minutes.

Step 2Add sugar and butter to oat mixture stirring until butter melts.

Step 3Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Step 4Sift flour, cocoa, ans salt together. Add to batter. mix Well.

Step 5Stir in half of chocolate chips. Pour into 13-9-2in pan. sprinkle top with chopped walnuts and remaining chocolate chips. Bake at 350 for 40 min.
