Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups water, boiling
- 1 cup oats, regular
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 - slightly beaten eggs
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
How To Make oatmeal cake

Step 1Pour 1 1/4 cups boiling water over 1 cups oats let stand. Cream 1 stick margarine, 1 cup brown sugar,1 cup white sugar, 1 tsp vanilla. Add 2 slightly beaten eggs, 1 1/2 cups flour, salt, 1 tsp soda, 1 tsp cinnamon. Add oat mixture. Bake at 350 for 30 min in a 13 X 9 pan

Step 2Icing: 3 Tablespoons margarine 2/3 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup canned milk 1 cup coconut 1 cup pecans 2 egg yolks Mix well and spread on top of baked cake and broil icing for 10 min or until brown
