This name sounds bla! Well let me just say it was delicious! I had to make my self leave the table (after second piece) Lol I like to put a dollop of cool whip on top! MMmmm! (I did not know how to separate this by batter then topping in ingredient so I just wrote it all as one)

Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 stick butter
- 1 1/4 cups boiling water
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 1/3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1/4 cup evaporated milk
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup rice crispies cereal
How To Make oatmeal cake

Step 1Combine oats, stick of butter, and boiling water in large bowl. Mix well cover and let stand 20 min. Then add 1c brown sugar, 1 c white sugar,eggs,cinnamon,flour,nutmeg,salt & baking soda. Blend into oat mixture. Grease baking pan or large cake pan and pour mixture into pan. Bake @ 350 for 35 -45 minutes. Cool Cake Completely.

Step 2For topping: Mix in small bowl 1/2 stick butter, evaporated milk, 1 c brown sugar & 1 c rice crispies cereal. Pour into saucepan and cook on low about 5 minutes, stir often. Spread on cake evenly. Place under broiler for 2 minutes should turn Carmel brown!
