Blue Ribbon Recipe

Hazelnut spread and fudgy brownies are a match made in heaven! The brownie forms a nice sugary crust on the outside, but the inside stays warm and gooey. We baked these like Jennifer recommended and the outcome was a deliciously fudgy brownie. If you want them more cake-like, add a few minutes to the bake time. These are rich and decadent, so have a big glass of milk handy. The Test Kitchen

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    Nutella spread
  • 2 large
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 stick
unsalted butter, melted and brought to room temperature

How to Make Nutella Brownies

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat your oven to 325. Prepare a 9-inch square pan by lining it with parchment paper and spraying it with non-stick spray.
  2. In a small bowl, sift flour and salt together. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, add Nutella, eggs, brown sugar and vanilla.
  4. Mix on low speed until well incorporated and creamy... about 2 minutes or so.
  5. Add half the flour mixture and combine.
  6. Then half the melted butter and combine.
  7. Once mixed, add the remaining flour and butter and blend together.
  8. Spread in a pan and bake for 35-20 minutes. I started to check mine at about 25 minutes. You want the center to be just set if you like them fudgy like I do.
  9. In the batch pictured, I added peanut butter chips.
