Ingredients
- CAKE INGREDIENTS :
- 1/2 cup (1 cube ) butter
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 2 1/2 cups sifted flour
- 2 teaspoons soda
- 1 can (no. 2 ) crushed pineapple ; not drained
- - coconut icing below
- COCONUT ICING INGREDIENTS :
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup (1 cube) butter
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1 can ( 1-1/3 cup ) flaked coconut
- 1 cup chopped nuts
How To Make nothing cake with coconut icing

Step 1FOR THE CAKE :

Step 2Cream butter and sugar ; Beat in one egg at a time.

Step 3Sift flour and soda ; Add to creamed mixture , alternately with crushed pineapple.

Step 4Turn into a greased 9x13" pan.

Step 5Bake @ 350° for 30-35 minutes until cake tests done.

Step 6Cool cake then frost with icing.

Step 7FOR ICING :

Step 8Mix together sugar , butter and 1 cup evaporated milk in a sauce pan ; boil until thick , about 15 minutes.

Step 9Remove from heat ; stir in coconut and nuts.
