When I was working, a friend told me about this cake. I was little puzzled, about it because you mix flour and butter together first.........I said uhhhhhhhh. But it is wonderful.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 1/3 cups all purpose flour
  • 5 - eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • - dash salt
  • 1 1/3 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

How To Make norwegian golden cake

  • Step 1
    1. cream the butter and flour (yes, the flour) together well. 2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.
  • Step 2
    3. Add extracts and salt, then sugar and baking pwder last.
  • Step 3
    Turn into a greased tube pan. Bake in a preheated open 325 degree for 15 minutes. Turn up the oven to 350 degrees and continue baking another 15 to 20 min.,or til it tests done.
  • Step 4
    Cool in the pan 10 minutes, then turn out on a rack to finish cooling. Sprinkle powered sugar over the top or ice it, if preferred.
