When I was working, a friend told me about this cake. I was little puzzled, about it because you mix flour and butter together first.........I said uhhhhhhhh. But it is wonderful.

Ingredients

1 c
butter (2 sticks)
1 1/3 c
all purpose flour
5
eggs
1 tsp
vanilla
1 tsp
almond extract
dash salt
1 1/3 c
sugar
1 1/2 tsp
baking powder

How to Make Norwegian golden cake

Step-by-Step

  • 11. cream the butter and flour (yes, the flour) together well.

    2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.
  • 23. Add extracts and salt, then sugar and baking pwder last.
  • 3Turn into a greased tube pan. Bake in a preheated open 325 degree for 15 minutes. Turn up the oven to 350 degrees and continue baking another 15 to 20 min.,or til it tests done.
  • 4Cool in the pan 10 minutes, then turn out on a rack to finish cooling. Sprinkle powered sugar over the top or ice it, if preferred.
