How to Make No Icing Apple Cake
- Cream shortening and sugar, till fluffy with electric mixer. Add unbeaten egg and apples and mix by hand with a spoon, not electric mixer.
- Sift flour, cinnamon and baking soda together. Add to apple mix, stir with spoon to mix. Add nuts and mix just till incorporated.
- Pour into greased and floured cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 min. Top of cake will have a crunchy topping requiring no icing.
