This is a great dessert to accompany your Thanksgiving Feast! Even if your guests are "stuffed" they will not turn down a small slice of this classic cheesecake!

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups graham cracker crumbs for the crust
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • FOR THE FILLING
  • 4 - 8 ounce packages cream cheese
  • 5 - eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1 can 15 ounces of pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground clove
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice

How To Make new york style pumpkin cheesecake

  • Step 1
    To make the crust, add together graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar and butter. Mix well. Grease a 9 inch spring-form pan and press the crust mixture evenly over the bottom. Bake 5 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from oven and let cool.
  • Step 2
    To make the filling, use a mixer to beat the cream cheese in a bowl. While continuously mixing, add the eggs (one at a time), the sugar (slowly), the pumpkin, the flour and the spices.
  • Step 3
    Pour mixture onto the crust and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour or until the mixture has set and a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into the center of the cheesecake. Remove from oven and let cool.
