New York Cheesecake
1 1/2 cvanilla cookie crumbs
2 1/2 Tbspmelted butter
32 ozcream cheese, room temperature
1 1/2 cwhite sugar
1 1/2 cmilk
1 csour cream
1 Tbspvanilla extract
1/4 call-purpose flour
How to Make New York Cheesecake
- PREP TIME DOES NOT INCLUDE TIME TO BRING CREAM CHEESE TO ROOM TEMP.
- Preheat oven to 350. Grease pan. In a medium bowl mix cookie crumbs with melted butter. Press into bottom of springform pan. In large bowl mix cream cheese with sugar until smooth. Blend in milk , and then mix in eggs 1 at a time mixing just enough to incorporate. Mix in sour cream,vanilla and flour until smooth. Pour filling into prepared crust. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour. Turn the oven off, and let cake cool in oven with door closed for 6 hours.(This prevents cheesecake from cracking.) Chill in refrigerator until serving.
