nana wolfe's blueberry coffeecake
This has been a long time favorite in my family. (it was my Nana's recipe) the original recipe called for 2 big handfuls of berries !

Ingredients
- TOPPING
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 stick butter (softened)
- CAKE
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 stick butter (softened)
- 1 large egg (room temp)
- 4 tablespoons sour cream
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 pint fresh blueberries ( remove any unripened) or 1 1/2 c frozen
How To Make nana wolfe's blueberry coffeecake

Step 1Preheat oven 375

Step 2beat together topping ingredients til smooth & creamy, set aside.

Step 3mix all cake ing. except lemon juice & berries. mix till smooth (do not overbeat)

Step 4add in lemon juice, mix well

Step 5fold in berries

Step 6pour into GREASED & FLOURED pan (9x9 sq, 9" round or 7 x 11 pan ( I like using the 7 x 11 pan)

Step 7bake at 375 for 25 minutes, remove from oven, spread topping mix gently over entire cake ( it will melt ) return to oven & continue baking for 25 more minutes. can be served warm or cold & can be glazed if so desired. Enjoy !
