3 c
all purpose flour
1/2 tsp
baking powder
3 c
sugar
1 stick
butter salted
1 stick
butter flavor shortening (crisco)

milk
1 tsp
vanilla extract

How to Make Nana's Pound Cake

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • 2Mix sugar, butter, and butter flavor Crisco. Mix till lite and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Mix well after each egg is added.
  • 3Sift together flour and baking powder. Add Flour and milk alternating. Add vanilla.
  • 4Spray pound cake or bunt cake pan with cooking spray. Then coat with flour. Pour cake batter in pan . Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 30 mins.
