Ingredients For mystery chocolate cake

  • 2/3 c
    butter, softened
  • 1-1/2 c
    sugar
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1/2 c
    cocoa
  • 2-1/4 c
    flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1-1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1-1/4 c
    water
  • 2/3 c
    sauerkraut, drained, rinsed and chopped
  • 1/2 c
    chopped nuts

How To Make mystery chocolate cake

  • 1
    Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well.

    Add dry ingredients alternately with water. Rinse sauerkraut with water, drain and pat dry with a paper towel. Chop fine and stir into cake along with nuts.

    Bake in a greased and floured 9 X 13 inch pan at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.

    Frost with a chocolate frosting.
