Ingredients

1 box duncan hines strawberry cake(only duncan hines)
1 sm box strawberry jello
3 tablespoons self rising flour
3/4 cup crisco oil
1/2 cup water
1 package thawed strawberries-use only half
1/2 stick oleo(butter)
1 box confectioners(powdered)sugar
1/2 package strawberries,which will be the remaining half of the packageu will use for cake for cake

How To Make my grandmothers strawberry cake

Step 1

put first 6 ingredients in bowl and mix well.use only half of the bag of Strawberries.. saving other half for icing..Do NOT beat this with a mixer.use a fork to gently mix well.Pour into 3 greased,floured cake pans.bake on 350 for 20-30 minutes

Step 2

for icing--mix well, the other half of strawberries,1 box of powdered sugar,and 1/2 stick oleo(butter)if to thin,add more powdered sugar.Spread over cooled layers and stack layers..BETTER the next day!!!!. or you can bake in an oblong cake pan and frost the cooled cake..making a sheet cake..
