This was my grandmother's VERY OLD German receipe passes down to my mom,now me.My mother is almost 90 and I just made it again for her.Very easy and very differant,but so creamy and good.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups creamed cottage cheese
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter,softened
  • 1/2 TSP SALT
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • pinch nutmeg
  • 1/2 large juicy lemon/juiced
  • 1 1/4 pints whole milk
  • 2 - refrigerated pie crusts

How To Make my grandmother's german cheese cake

  • Step 1
    Mix all ingrediants well in mixer
  • Step 2
    Line 2 pie plates with refrigerated pie crusts or homemade if desired
  • Step 3
    pour filling over each.
  • Step 4
    Bake in a preheated 350 oven,about 45-60 minuted until firm like a custard.
  • Step 5
    CHILL overnight or several hours until very cold.
  • Step 6
    Can top with fresh whipped cream if desired or pie filling.
