1tomato soup

3/4 cshortening

1 1/2 csugar

3/4 cwater

1 tspbaking soda

3 call purpose flour

3/4 tspkosher salt

3 tspbaking powder

1 1/2 tspcinnamon

1 tspground cloves
-
1 1/2 tspfreshly grated nutmeg

1 1/2 craisins
-
1 1/2 cchopped nuts
How to Make My Grandma's Tomato Soup Cake
- Blend shortening and sugar. Combine tomato soup, water and baking soda.
- Add to first mixture the dry ingredients. Stir in raisins and nuts.
- Pour cake batter into a greased 9"x13" cake pan. Bake at 350-degrees for 45 minutes.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
