My family and friends loves my homemade pound cake and I make them all the time. It is so easy to make and bake them. They are so delicious and moisture. Just like back in old days.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 5 - eggs
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond flavoring
  • GLAZE
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract

How To Make my favorite pound cake

  • Step 1
    Cream butter and sugar thoroughly. Add eggs in, one at a time, mixing thoroughly. Add in flavorings. Then add flour all at one time. Bake in oven at 300 F. for 1 hour and 15 minutes in tube pan.
  • Step 2
    Glaze: Mix all ingredients and mix well. Drizzle on top of warm pound cake.
