My family and friends loves my homemade pound cake and I make them all the time. It is so easy to make and bake them. They are so delicious and moisture. Just like back in old days.

  • 2 c
    plain flour
  • 1 3/4 c
  • 5
  • 2 stick
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp
    lemon extract
  • 1/4 tsp
    almond flavoring

  • 1 c
    confectioners' sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 tsp
    lemon extract

How to Make My Favorite Pound Cake


  1. Cream butter and sugar thoroughly. Add eggs in, one at a time, mixing thoroughly. Add in flavorings. Then add flour all at one time. Bake in oven at 300 F. for 1 hour and 15 minutes in tube pan.
  2. Glaze: Mix all ingredients and mix well. Drizzle on top of warm pound cake.
