My family loves this pound cake plain or for an extra treat they will add a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients For my chocolate pound cake

  • 3 c
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 6 Tbsp
    cocoa
  • 1/ lb
    butter softened
  • 3 c
    sugar
  • 5
    eggs
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1/2 c
    oil
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla

How To Make my chocolate pound cake

    Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa
  • 2
    Cream butter and sugar. Add the eggs 1 at a time.

    To the cream mixture add the dry ingredients and milk alternately then add oil and vanilla.

    Pour into an ungreased tube pan.
