1Gather ingredients and scald milk. Beat eggs, one at a time, and add sugar slowly. Add flour and baking powder. Beat until blended; and add milk slowly to batter. You can add vanilla extract or almond extract.
2Bake in two 9 inch pans, greased and floured, at 365 degrees for 25 minutes. Remove from pans and cool before frosting. The cake is great with strawberries and ice cream.
