I found this recipe at a dear friends house, the paper it was written on was so very old and brittle, this recipe is WONDERFUL. You can use your favorite chocolate cake recipe but i used dark chocolate brownie mix. The picture would have been better but everyone ate it all and i was stuck with the last piece..lol

Ingredients

  • 1 box
    dark chocolate brownie mix
  • 2 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 1/2 c
    milk
  • 24 large
    marshmallows
  • 14 oz
    coconut
  • 1
    stick of butter
  • 1 pkg
    semi-sweet chocolate chips

How to Make MOUNDS BROWNIES

Step-by-Step

  1. Bake brownies as directed or use your favorite chocolate cake recipe. I used a 9x9 in pan for the brownies.
  2. Bring to boil
    1 cup of the sugar
    24 marshmallows
    1 cup of milk
  3. Remove from heat and add the coconut
    Pour mixture over hot brownies or cake. Let stand for about 10 mins.
  4. Then bring to boil
    1/2 cup of milk
    1 1/2 cups of sugar
    1 stick of butter
    remove from heat and add the chocolate chips stir til all the chips are melted.
  5. Pour that over the top of the coconut mixture
    Refridgerate over night
