mother's strawberry shortcake
This is an old recipe. My Mother made it when I was at home. I believe it was her Mothers. Delicious with sliced strawberries and whip cream.

- CREAM
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter (room temperature)
- DROP IN
- 1 large egg, beat well
- ADD
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup flour
- 3 tablespoons baking powder
How To Make mother's strawberry shortcake

Step 1Cream sugar and butter.

Step 2Add egg and beat well

Step 3Add milk, flour and Baking powder. Mix well.

Step 4This was always made in a pie pan. Do not know why. Maybe that was always the way my Grandmother fixed it.

Step 5I doubled the recipe and used my pan that makes small cute cakes.
