Mother's Miracle Pound Cake
1/2 cshortening, (crisco is preferred brand)
2 stickunsalted butter
3 cgranulated sugar
3 ccake flour (swan's down is preferred)
1 tsplemon flavoring
1 tspvanilla flavoring
How to Make Mother's Miracle Pound Cake
- Cream margarine and Crisco together.
Add sugar & cream together.
Add eggs one at a time,
then add milk, flour and flavoring.
- Pour into greased and floured tube pan.
- Set oven to 325 degrees. Do NOT preheat oven.
Bake approximately 1 hour to 1 hour and 20 minutes.
