moms sauce icing
When I was growing up..my Mom would make a yellow cake and then she would make this sauce like icing on the stove. She would pour this WARM Sauce over each individual piece of cake. We kids loved it...STILL DO! So ..I thought I would share it with you.....

Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 can pet evaporated milk (12 oz size)
- 3 - egg yokes (beaten)
- 1/4 stick butter or margarine
How To Make moms sauce icing

Step 1Mix the milk and sugar until sugar in a Saucepan until it's dissolved

Step 2add the beaten eggs an butter ingredients and mix thoroughly

Step 3Cook on medium to medium high heat ... stirring continuously until slightly thick. Remember..this is a "sauce"..so it needs to be a consistency that will allow you to pour it over a piece of cake
