mom's original hershey cake recipe (1955)
This is my mother's Famous Hershey Cake. You can tell how old this recipe is by the price of the Hershey bars. We in the family have always loved this recipe. There was a time that we thought the recipe had been lost, but I found it in the pages of an old cookbook, Thank Goodness. Mom never put icing on this cake, because it really doesn't need it. If you like icing, you could make a powdered sugar glaze and just pour it over the top. Or you could just dust it with powdered sugar.
