Ingredients

  • CAKE:
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 sm. cans mandarin oranges & juice
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts, your choice
  • GLAZE:
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • TOPPING:
  • cool whip

How To Make *** mom's mandarin orange cake ***

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Step 2
    Mix all cake ingredients together. Pour into greased 9 x 13" pan. Bake 30 - 35 minutes.
  • Step 3
    In small saucepan, boil all glaze ingredients together.
  • Step 4
    Pierce holes in cake with long handled serving spoon. Pour over glaze over warm cake. Serve with cool whip, if desired.
