- 1ST LAYER:
- 1 box cake mix, any flavor
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 2 - eggs
- 2ND LAYER:
- 3 - 8 oz. packages cream cheese, room temperature
- 4 - eggs
- 1 1/4 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 3 cups confectioners' sugar
- TOPPING:
- - nuts, chopped, your choice, if desired
- - confectioners' sugar, if desired

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2Mix all 1st layer ingredients together & spread into 13 x 9" pan.

Step 3Beat all 2nd layer ingredients together & pour over cake mixture. Add nuts, if using. Bake 35 - 40 minutes. Cool 20 minutes.

Step 4Can sift confectioners' sugar, if desired.
