1 1/4 cfresh blueberries (or drained frozen, thawed berries)
How to Make Mom's Easy Blueberry Cake with Sugar Topping
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9 inch square pan.
Combine flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, butter, and milk.Beat until smooth and creamy. Add egg and beat again until well combined. Fold in blueberries and pour into prepared pan. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of sugar over batter.
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown and firm to the touch. Great served warm.
- OPTIONAL: If desired serve with lemon curd on top.
