This recipe comes from my sister-in-law, Sherlene Lambert's self-published cookbook.

Ingredients

  • 24 ounces cream cheese
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 - eggs
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 can cherry pie filling, chilled

How To Make mom's classic sour cream cheesecake

  • Step 1
    Combine graham cracker crumbs, melted margarine and sugar; press firmly on bottom of 9" springform pan.
  • Step 2
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step 3
    In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually beat in sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
  • Step 4
    Beat in eggs one at a time then add sour cream and vanilla.
  • Step 5
    Pour into prepared pan. Bake 50 - 55 minutes or until lightly browned around edge (center will be slightly soft). Cool then chill for at least an hour.
  • Step 6
    Top with cherry pie filling and garnish as desired. Refridgerate leftovers.
