When I was a child My mother would make this cake.I loved it. She would put a fluffy white icing on it.

    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    soda
  • 1/4 c
    butter
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 c
    flour

    sq. chocolate
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla

How To Make mom's chocolate cake

    Melt chocolate,butter and milk together and mix.Add a little salt.

    Mix in the rest of the ingredients and bake at 350 degrees(preheat oven)bake for 30 minutes.

    WHITE FLUFFY ICING; 1 cup sugar; 1 egg white; 1 teaspoon vanilla extract; 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar; 1/2 cup boiling water; In a medium bowl, stir toghter the sugar,egg white, vanilla, cream of tartar,and boiling water. Beat using an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.If you have a stand mixer, use the whisk attachment.
