I am pretty sure that everyone has this recipe, it has been around for years! My Mom made this way back in the day and I just made one last weekend. It is still the very best to me (of course, it makes me think of my mom and chatting over coffee).
Blue Ribbon Recipe
An easy coffee cake to throw together if you're having last-minute company or want a sweet treat. A yellow boxed cake mix is an excellent base and there is a distinct vanilla flavor from it. It's a little on the sweet side and the filling adds that classic cinnamon flavor and crunch from the walnuts. Perfect for dessert or enjoy with an afternoon coffee or tea.

Test Kitchen Tips
For styling, we dusted the coffee cake with powdered sugar. This is pretty sweet and would be fine without any topping.
Mix the filling ingredients and set aside. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and grease a 10 inch Bundt pan or tube pan.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, sour cream, oil, sugar, water, and eggs together.
Beat for 2 minutes.
Pour 2/3 of the batter into the prepared pan.
Then the filling sprinkling it evenly around the top of the batter.
Pour the remaining batter over the filling.
Bake in the preheated oven (375 degrees) for 45-55 minutes.
Once baked, allow the cake to cool about 10 minutes and turn out onto a serving plate.
