moist chocolate cake

This recipe is old and tried and true, but it's a favorite of everyone I know. When there is a birthday, I'm always asked to make this, and I happily oblige :)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup vegtable oil (or applesauce)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup hot coffee
  • 2 - eggs

How To Make moist chocolate cake

  • Step 1
    Sift all dry ingredients together, then add all other ingredients and mix thoroughly. Pour into greased 9x13 cake pan and bake at 350 for about 30 -35 mins. insert knife or toothpick in center to check for doneness. Frost cooled cake with your favorite frosting and enjoy!
