Another Amish cake recipes; as the title suggests, it is a very moist cake...and VERY chocolatey, too! Just wish I had a picture of it.

Ingredients

  • 2 c
    all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 3/4 c
    baking cocoa
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 pinch
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1 c
    hot coffee
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 2
    eggs

How to Make Moist Chocolate Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and powder and salt.
  3. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients; add oil, coffee, milk and eggs; beat just enough to mix well (batter will be lumpy).
  4. Pour into a greased 9- X 13-inch baking pan and bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes.
  5. Frost while still slightly warm with pre-packaged frosting or with your favorite frosting recipe.
