Another Amish cake recipes; as the title suggests, it is a very moist cake...and VERY chocolatey, too! Just wish I had a picture of it.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup baking cocoa
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup hot coffee
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 - eggs

How To Make moist chocolate cake

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 F.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and powder and salt.
  • Step 3
    Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients; add oil, coffee, milk and eggs; beat just enough to mix well (batter will be lumpy).
  • Step 4
    Pour into a greased 9- X 13-inch baking pan and bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Frost while still slightly warm with pre-packaged frosting or with your favorite frosting recipe.
